Review by TheEmu

TheEmu Of course, all of these Colorado shows are quite enjoyable, with lots of great banter. Fishman is introduced as Vermont's second greatest trombone player, and I Didn't Know is introduced as "I Didn't Know With, With" which I think is in reference to a secondary Fishman solo that I can only assume was using just the trombone mouthpiece. Also, as Fish is about to do his solo, Trey announces "Moses Brown--" only to be cut off by a giant farting noise produced by the trombone. Hilarity. There's more trombone amusement in what Trey announces as "that old song, that old favorite, McGrupp & The Watchful Hosemasters." Fish on the bone certainly makes for a unique rendition of McGrupp (which is missing quite a few lyrics). Finally, Trey dedicates Bold As Love to Angus Young, and the first line of the song is changed to "Angus! He shines down..." As far as musical highlights, you've got a good GTBT with DEG teases, a very good Whipping Post (which is unfortunately missing the second jam) and, best of all, a RIPPING rendition of Light Up or Leave Me Alone. Certainly an entertaining listen, and maybe 4 stars is too much, but I'll bet if I could hear the show in its entirety, it would be 4 stars easy, so we'll go with that.
