Review by WeatherReport

WeatherReport This was my third Mike Gordon show, and my first show at the "new" College Street Music Hall. It used to be called the Palace Theater, a venue Phish played several times in the early 90's. It's not as nice as it was in it's heyday, but they did do a decent job remodeling the place. They also made it more dance friendly by removing the theater type seating. As far as the show, I thought it was solid and well played, but not as high energy as other shows I've seen by them. I'm not trying to be over critical, just giving my opinion. I had a great time, and went to the next nights show in North Hampton as well. I really liked the cover of "Clues" by Robert Palmer, it fit in with the bands overall sound very well. I also really enjoyed hearing "Meat", which I only managed to hear once over the years by Phish. The tune I've been itching to hear is Soulfood Man, which still occasionally gets played as an encore. The light show since 2014 has been incredible, some serious eye candy.
