The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Review by Hendrix_Phishinfloyd
The band was really clicking, very tight, not a flub that I can recall, and Scott Murawski is an incredible guitarist!! Hats off to you, old man!!
Sleep To Dream was the highlight for me. I didn't even know the band covered it! Stellar. Sugar Shack was ON POINT! I believe Mike said that they have a new lighting setup. It is impressive too, especially in a small club. If you're reading this review in an area where Mike HAS NOT yet stopped and you don't have tickets...SHAME ON YOU!! You're missing out on something special. GO OUT AND GET YOUR TIX!!
At the end of the show, Mike even stood in the back at the goody table and signed stuff, shook hands, and talked. He's a very approachable guy, and I told him so. He signed my shirt, and we stood and talked for a few minutes about nothing in particular: 'Love your Hotline'; 'How do you like Texas'; 'Did you have fun in Mexico', etc, etc, etc.
I'm impressed, Mike. PLEASE come back to Houston!! You can even bring the guys from "the other band" if ya want!
